Don’t even bother purchasing the Graco TotBloc Pack ‘N Play Playard before you read what I’ve got to say about. This play yard is a lot like many of the others I’ve reviewed, but there are some differences.
When I review any products for babies, my biggest concern is safety. In fact, safety is so important to me that I talk about it at the beginning of almost every page on this website. Why shouldn’t it be the most-important aspect of a product?
This play yard from Graco is large and roomy, although it doesn’t look very big in the picture. It’s 38” by 38”, so it definitely has enough room for your little one to play around. Like many other models, it folds quite easily, and it can be setup quickly, which is why it’s great for frequent travelers. It has a double frame, which weighs less than a total of 25 pounds. On all sides of this play yard, it has airy mesh, which is great for ventilation. Many parents probably don’t care much about ventilation – but I happen to think it’s quite important.
This play yard comes with a carrying bag, so it’s easy to take with you while traveling, and you can store it easily. As with many similar play yards, this one is easy to clean. However, it’s a good idea to avoid getting stains on the mesh because that it quite hard to clean. Like many other models, this play yard comes equipped with toys, but I think many parents would prefer to just add some of their own toys.
I think this play yard is cute, but I don’t really know what else it has going for it. It’s probably easier to fold and pack than some other models. It looks and feels pretty sturdy – quite a bit sturdier than some other play yards. Based on the fact that this product has over 700 reviews on websites like Amazon, it’s surely serving its purpose.
The overwhelming majority of reviews for this product are positive, and out of 700 reviews, about 1 percent of those reviews are 1-star. Overall, this is a standard play yard and serves its purpose. It doesn’t really have any notable features. I can’t really recommend this product for the price that it’s sold for, but if it was cheaper, or if money doesn’t matter to you, then I would but it. If you’re on a budget and need the most bang for your buck, then I would go with a different product.
